Walmart Black Friday 2026: dates and times

Walmart has announced three holiday deal events for 2026, running from Nov. 12 to Dec. 2. Its main Black Friday Deals event runs Nov. 23 to 29, and stores get deals at 6 a.m. local time on Friday, Nov. 27. Walmart stores are closed on Thanksgiving.

Walmart+ early access
According to Walmart's announcement, Walmart+ members get early access to "hot Deal drops." For the Early Black Friday event, that starts at 12:01 a.m. ET on Nov. 12, and remaining items open to everyone at 12:01 a.m. ET Nov. 13. For Black Friday Deals, early access starts at 12:01 a.m. ET Nov. 23, and remaining items open to all customers on Nov. 24. Walmart also says select online-only deals are reserved for members for the first 24 hours, while supplies last.
Is Walmart open on Thanksgiving 2026?
No. Walmart says "Stores will be closed again on Thanksgiving and Christmas this year." You can still shop Walmart.com. Stores reopen for Black Friday, when deals arrive in store at 6 a.m. local time on Nov. 27. Walmart hasn't published every store's Black Friday opening time, so check your local store page.
